Player/parent meeting for boys' team Feb. 10
All boys playing lacrosse this year for the Sabres and at least one parent of each student-athlete must attend a preseason
meeting Thursday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. in the small cafeteria at South Meck. This is a mandatory meeting that is required for
all varsity sports in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Coach Tim Murphy will be on hand to speak to players and parents about
the upcoming season, practices for which will begin Feb. 14.

Registration under way for 2011 boys' season
All boys' players were recently e-mailed all necessary forms for lacrosse registration. Please read
everything, fill out each form in its entirety and make sure all forms are signed. Most forms require both parent and student
to sign. Some of the information is redundant from form to form, but you still need to fill it all out. The registration fee is $300, which covers the
use of a (new) helmet, uniforms, practice gear and bag for each player during the season. Please return
to Chuck Morris as soon as possible, and no later than the end of January. Every package gets reviewed by our AD and he signs
off of each player's eligibility. A player cannot practice until he has been approved by our AD. If you son played a fall
sport (already turned in the NCHSAA Pre-Participation Examination Form) then you do not have to turn in another one.
Just make sure the physical is less than 12 months old and will not become so during the season. There will be a limited number of packages at the school for pick-up if you cannot open the e-mail
attachments. If you have any questions, please contact Chuck Morris at 704-542-5867. Completed packages can be dropped off
at the Morris house, an envelope in the main office at South or mailed to: Chuck Morris, 3125 Foxridge Road, Charlotte, NC
28226.
